Beatles '65 Sealed Mono LP (Capitol 2228, 1965). After the resounding success of Meet The Beatles one year prior (11 weeks #1 on Billboard's album charts) and, shortly thereafter, The Beatles' Second Album (five weeks at #1), Capitol's third Fab album Something New got only to #2 (largely because the group's A Hard Day's Night soundtrack album on United Artists was holding down the #1 spot!). Capitol was anxious to get back on top, and Beatles '65 was the perfect vehicle, rising to #1 almost immediately upon release and staying there for nine weeks in early 1965. We love the cover, especially when it's still sealed in its original shrinkwrap with a K-Mart price sticker affixed! Condition: NM 8 (very small seam split back cover left)/ GM-MT 10 (still sealed disc).
