Elvis' penchant for owning and firing guns is well documented. He had a target range set up at his Graceland home but didn't limit himself to that venue as several television sets in Las Vegas and elsewhere can attest to. When Elvis moved to Palm Springs, he hired a local police sergeant named Richard Grob to be his head of security, a job he kept until the King's death. Two Affidavits and Certificates of Authenticity signed by Grob accompany this 1952-vintage pistol. They state: "I. Richard Grob, Head of Security and Personal Friend of Elvis Presley, do hereby attest to the authenticity of [this item]. This .22 caliber Hi-standard Automatic pistol, Field King model. Bearing the serial number 398919 was the personal property of Elvis Presley's. This pistol is accompanied by the original box and a spare clip. Elvis would use this gun for target shooting."
COA from Richard Grob. FFL REQUIRED.
