    Description

Woodstock No-Black Plate Poster Signed by Artist Arnold Skolnick (1969). Very Rare. Measures 24" x 36.75". Printed by Rapport Press. In Very Good Plus condition, with fold mark in the upper right corner, some minor nicks and creases.

Provenance: Formerly from the collection of Arnold Skolnick.

According to Skolnick, because of the continually changing band lineup for the Woodstock festival, Rappaport printed the posters without the black plate, which could be quickly added later, when the posters were needed. The resulting graphic, stripped down to only the hand, guitar neck, bird and famous tag line, illustrates the dramatic branding impact of Skolnick's iconic design. One of the last known Woodstock blanks available. COA from Arnold Skolnick. COA from Heritage Auctions.
