Woodstock 1969 Ephemera: Parking Pass for M.C. John Morris and Lanyard w/Button Three items from the festival are in this lot: Concert M.C. John Morris' parking permit; he was the stage announcer who famously told the crowd that Woodstock was "a free concert from now on," and that the promoters were "going to take a bath, a big bath." The entire audio is available on YouTube. And also an original, fun neck lanyard and matching button, sold by an artistic vendor at the show. Please see the consignor's attached letter.

Parking permit measures 8 x 5" and is in Very Good Minus condition, with a name, address and phone number written on the back.

The lanyard is 1 5/8" wide by 34 1/2" long, and grades to Very Good with a bit of grime and a few minor creases.

And the button is 2 1/8" in diameter and also grades to Very Good. It has been pinned on one end of the lanyard all these years, but could be easily taken off. Naturally, after half a century it has some tarnishing on its silver back.

Also, the Day-Glo inks used by some printers in the 60's really come to life on the parking permit, already looking great in normal light and then taking on new life under a purple-tube blacklight. Check out our additional photo to see how it changes from yellow to bright green under a blacklight. Wild!
