DescriptionWilson Pickett / Steve Miller Blues Band 1969 Bethlehem, PA Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising the talents of R&B great Wilson Pickett and blues-rocker The Steve Miller Blues Band in concert at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA on Saturday evening, September 27, 1969.
"The Wicked Pickett" was on a cover-versions roll in 1969, with charting singles made of "Hey Jude" (with Duane Allman taking the guitar solo), "Born to Be Wild," "Hey Joe" and "You Keep Me Hanging On."
Miller was touring off his highest-charting album yet, Brave New World, which would retain that status until The Joker knocked it off by soaring to #2 in 1973.
Measures 13 7/8" x 22" and grades to Very Good Minus condition. Tape-lift tear-away in upper right corner, although the full corner is still there. Surface staining in a few places, such as in "Arcadia," around Wilson's picture, by Miller's name and down bottom center. One set of staple holes at the top center. Surface creasing in lower left corner and lower center, but they pretty much disappear into the blue. The verso has upwards of a dozen major tape lifts. COA from Heritage Auctions.
