Description

Van Halen 1979 Paris, France Van Halen II Era Concert Poster. A striking poster for a Van Halen show at the short-lived Pavillon de Paris (only open between 1975 and 1980) on June 22, 1979. Using the gravity-defying shot of frontman David Lee Roth from the back cover of the first Van Halen album, this was when the band was on tour behind their second LP. The band had played for many years in backyards around the area they grew up, long before they played clubs. With Eddie Van Halen's guitar-playing and tone coming from another stratosphere, the band was in its own lane. Now with a hit debut LP (and second album), the band could easily headline large venues no matter where in the world they played. Nearly 10,000 attendees could fit into this venue. Measures 30 ¼" x 46 ½". In Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions. From the David Swartz Concert Poster Collection.

More Information: Several spots of creasing throughout, along with edge wear and a ½" tear at the top.
