    Description

The Rolling Stones 1964 Promotional Poster from Spain.
A very early Rolling Stones promo poster from an unusual territory: Spain. Rather than plug one of their records, this is a 'generic' promotional poster meant to spread awareness for the band itself and its record label, Decca Records, distributed by Columbia Records. That's about the extent of the information you get, too... just the big, fun publicity shot, their name in nice big letters, and then the label business - in Spanish.

Measuring 27 1/8" by 18 5/8", this Good-condition poster has plenty of condition issues which are detailed on our web site. It would still frame up and display marvelously, if your priority with the Stones is "early and rare." Surely a matter of grab this one or live forever without it. COAs from Tracks Ltd. and Heritage Auctions.

More Information: A very early Rolling Stones promo poster from an unusual territory: Spain. Rather than plug one of their records, this is a 'generic' promotional poster meant to spread awareness for the band itself and its record label, Decca Records, distributed by Columbia Records. That's about the extent of the information you get, too... just the big, fun publicity shot, their name in nice big letters, and then the label business – in Spanish.

When the Stones first hit America in June 1964, this photo was used on their concert posters, tour programs and many other places, so it really invokes their first era, just as "Not Fade Away" was starting to make some noise.

Measuring 27 1/8" by 18 5/8", this poster was once framed so there's a deeper yellow margin all the way around the edges, which shows the depth of the original yellow which has faded back due to years of display. As the photos show, there are also numerous holes in the paper likely eaten by insects, and plenty of surface wrinkles & creases at the corners, plus a horizontal series of light creases from top to bottom. 5/8" and 3/4" tears from right edge, areas of loss on the bottom portion, a 5/8" tear from the top edge and a 3/8" tear from the left edge. This Good-condition poster would still frame up and display marvelously, if your priority with the Stones is "early and rare." Surely a matter of grab this one or live forever without it.
