Description

The Flaming Lips Multi-Concert Poster (1992).
Throughout the 1980s, Oklahoma's the Flaming Lips channeled their love of '60s pop music through the sonic annihilation by the Butthole Surfers. By the early 1990s, they found themselves with a major record label deal with Warner Bros. When they came through the Pacific Northwest in late 1992, their first album for Warner Bros, Hit to Death in the Future Head, was a new release. The band would find greater mainstream success with their "She Don't Use Jelly" single and their later albums The Soft Bulletin and Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Poster measures 11" x 17" and is signed by the designer in the lower right corner. Designed by Mike King. Off-set printed. In Very Good condition with soiling on verso, staple holes, and a fold mark through the middle. COA from Heritage Auctions.
