Description

The Everly Brothers 1962 Duluth, MN Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising the famous and influential Everly Brothers, Phil and Don, performing at the National Guard Armory in Duluth, Minnesota for an evening of music & dance on Saturday, July 31, 1962.

Features a great photo of the brothers back-to-back, and a nice busy venue box. They had just enjoyed the very last Top 10 hit of their career, "That's Old Fashioned (That's the Way Love Should Be)," which was still making its way down the charts. The Brothers' influence on 50's rockers and subsequent 60's pop music (Lennon and McCartney, anyone?) cannot be overstated. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: The poster's two upper corners were a bit whacked and multi-creased, with the white color broken in a couple of spots and one of the creases running into the "1" in "21." The lower right corner has a one-inch diagonal crease that reaches but doesn't go into the "S." The lower left corner has a tip of paper (but no board) loss. There's a ding on the bottom edge under "Brothers," and a small dot-stain in the white margin to the left of "Person." There are a couple of very small, healed hole punches (by a needle?) midway down the Brothers' picture (one in the white, one in the dark). There's a ding and tiny paper loss (but not board) on the board's edge to the direct right of the guys' photo. The verso has one small tape lift in the upper left corner.
