Description

The Doors, Norman Greenbaum 1970 Honolulu, HI Concert Poster. An original brown-paper concert poster for The Doors, plus Norman "Spirit in the Sky" Greenbaum, playing at the HIC (Honolulu International Center) in Hawaii on Saturday evening, April 18, 1970. This was a ‘mini-tour blank' used back on the mainland in Long Beach, California and maybe another show or two. The Doors were promoting their new album Morrison Hotel/Hard Rock Café, which would go Top 5 nationally. This first-ever Heritage offering measures 14 1/4" x 22 1/2" and grades to Very Good condition. From the David Swartz Concert Poster Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Poster has 3-4 little edge tears scattered about, nothing more than ¼". Looks like an attempt was made to mend them on the verso a long time ago. Also like perhaps some Wite-Out was used in a couple of spots in the middle (still on the verso). On the poster's front, that little black line in the lower right corner is not damage, it's the printer's hash mark.
