Description

The Byrds, Tim Hardin 1970 Washington D.C. Globe Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising Roger McGuinn and The Byrds plus singer-songwriter Tim Hardin appearing together at American University in the nation's capitol for two shows on Saturday evening, April 18, 1970. Globe Poster of Baltimore used a highly effective lavender color to make this one really stand out. Definitely the first time Heritage has ever offered this one. Measures 14" x 22 1/4" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: It's funny the way Globe used an old photo of the Byrds, when David Crosby was still in the group and they had their Beatles-inspired bowl haircuts. Concert-poster companies frequently did this, unless artist management was on the ball and supplied up-to-date pictures.

Condition details: There are a couple of one-inch tears in on the edges, one at the top going into the second "T" of "Committee" and the other on the left edge going into McGuinn's neck. Neither affects the poster's appearance much. Otherwise just the standard surface handling and general toning throughout.
