The Beatles Shea Stadium Concert Poster (Sid Bernstein Enterprises, 1965). The Four Lads from Liverpool hit a new high with this summer show in New York City. The crowds were enormous, the band in playfully high spirits, and the mood joyous for this important concert. It would never be quite the same after this, with death threats in Manilla the next year, plus offhand remarks from John about being "bigger than Jesus" putting a slightly different spin on things to come. This ultra-rare, first-printing generic poster has the Beatles listed alongside other upcoming attractions, including Herman's Hermits, the Dave Clark Five, the Kinks with the Moody Blues, and a Folk Festival starring Johnny Cash, Chuck Berry, and others. It measures approximately 11" x 16.75", and is in Excellent condition.
