The Beatles Dynamic Beatles Aintree Institute Handbill, One of Three Known (1961). Located in the far north corner of Liverpool, the Aintree Institute's ballroom represented a "step up" from dingy clubs for the up-and-coming Beatles. They played a total of 31 times at this red brick building, developing a growing fan base that would soon catapult them to national, and then international, success. This early handbill is one of only three known, and is thought to have been once part of influential British DJ Brian Matthew's collection. It measures approximately 5.625" x 9", and is in VG/FN condition, with one small edge stain and a tack hole near the top of the paper.
