Description

The Beatles 1966 Busch Stadium, St. Louis Concert Handbill. An original glossy-paper advertising flyer for the Beatles' appearance at the "new" Busch Memorial Stadium on their final tour... Sunday, August 21, 1966, only eight days before they played their last show ever in San Francisco. This is one of the scarcer handbills from their American tours; it's the first time Heritage has ever offered one, whereas we're always offering the flyers from other shows like Shea Stadium and Washington D.C. Opening acts were the Cyrkle, Ronnie Spector and the Ronettes and Barry Tashian & the Remains. Measures 7" x 11" and grades to Very Good condition. From the David Swartz Concert Poster Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: The handbill was once quarter-folded, but it was done so neatly and evenly that we suspect it was machine-folded down for mailing in an envelope. The vertical crease leaves almost no trace, but the horizontal fold does go across John's and George's hair, barely missing the former's eyes. There's a three-inch vertical crease in the lower left corner area, but it completely misses all print. Otherwise just the normal amount of light handling creases expected with thin glossy paper like this.
