Description

The Beatles 1963 Scottish Concert Handbill when "She Loves You" was #1 on the Charts An original paper concert flyer for the Beatles performing two shows in Kirkcaldy, Scotland on Sunday, October 6, 1963, in between their two hit singles "She Loves You" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand."

The boys were actually the third event advertised by this handbill. First up was "The Big Beat Show" on Sunday, November 10, 1963, featuring American Del Shannon and Gerry and the Pacemakers, who were enjoying their third straight #1 hit at this very moment, "You'll Never Walk Alone."

Then two weeks later, on Sunday November 24, you had the ever-popular British group The Searchers, who had just scored a #1 hit with "Sweets for my Sweet" that summer.

And then two weeks later, the Fab Four played two performances followed by "dancing through the night" after the second show. Attendance was 1,500 for each of the shows, at 6:30 and 9:00 PM.

Three days earlier, at Abbey Road Studios, John and Paul had recorded a new vocal for "Little Child" for their forthcoming LP With the Beatles, and Ringo had done likewise for "I Wanna Be Your Man."

Measures 5 1/2 x 9 7/8". In Good Plus condition with fold marks and creasing throughout and smudges in various spots, including through the key line "The Beatles in Scotland." COA from Heritage Auctions.
