    Temptations Wooden Shoe Ballroom Concert Poster (1966). Extremely Rare. Window card printed on card stock for a "Dance and Show" in Portland on Fri. July 22nd. The poster features an image of the singing group and a lists a host of recent hits including "My Girl", "Don't Look Back", "Since I Lost My Baby", "It's Growing", "Not [sic] Too Proud To Beg", "Get Ready" and "Far-away". Printed by "Tilghman Press...Oak.". Measures 15.25 x 22.75". In Good condition, the white border to the lower edge and lower right edge have been trimmed, staining to lower left corner, upper edge, and to the right of the image of the group, general creasing and wear commensurate with age.

    Concert posters from the 1960s featuring Motown acts are exceptionally hard to find. This poster is significant as it dates to the 'Classic Five' era of the Temptations, featuring the lineup of Otis Williams, Eddie Kendricks, Paul Williams, David Ruffin and Melvin Franklin. This was the most successful period of the Temptations' career, including classic such as "My Girl", which was their first no.1, and "Get Ready". It was this "Classic Five" lineup that was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989.
