Sun Recording Artists Concert Posters (1956 & 1957). Two window cards printed on card stock. The first is for a "Rock & Roll Dance Party" at Electrician's Hall, Paducah, KY Fri. Nov. 9, 1956. The lineup includes Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison & The Teen Kings and Warren Smith. The second poster is for a show at Iuka High School, Thurs. Feb. 28, 1957 with lineup Warren Smith and Bill Riley and his Little Green Men. Printed by Hatch Show Print, Nashville. Both measure 13.75" x 21.75". In Very Good condition, both posters have two heavy creases from poster being quarter-folded, as stored by the printer. The Carl Perkins poster has a .5" tear to the left edge at the fold line and rubbing to corners, toning to light areas.

This is another slice Sun Records history (see lot 89189). On one poster Carl Perkins is the headline act, even mentioning his biggest hit 'Blue Suede Shoes'. Roy Orbison mentioned as one of the supports, only having recently signed for Sam Phillips at Sun.

Provenance: The Hatch Show Print Archive, Nashville.
