    Description

Stevie Ray Vaughan Pre-Double Trouble Paul Ray and the Cobras Late 1970s Austin Concert Poster. A poster circa 1977-1978 featuring a young Stevie Ray Vaughan playing with Paul Ray and the Cobras at the Soap Creek Saloon in Austin. In its original location off of Bee Caves Road, it was out of the way for Austinites, but it was a place where SRV, Marcia Ball, and Doug Sahm all played. Condos now stand where it once was. Vaughan, born in Dallas, but really made a name for himself in the capitol of Texas, would go onto play with Double Trouble, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest blues artists of all time. Measures 11" x 17". In Very Good Plus condition with adhesive on the verso, along with light handling and toning. COA from Heritage Auctions.
