We believe this is the first time an example of this poster has ever been offered at auction. To many Sam Cooke was the quintessential Soul singer. Originally he was a member of the Gospel group the Soul Stirrers, but chose to go solo in 1957. His first release was "You Send Me", a number one hit on the Billboard charts and the first of twenty-nine Top Forty hits in total. He was inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1986.
