Description
Rod Stewart & Faces, Fleetwood Mac 1972 Hollywood, FL Concert Poster. Billed as the "World's First Rock & Roll Cyrcus [sic]," the Rod Stewart-fronted Faces got top billing at the Hollywood Sportatorium in Florida on Friday, April 28, 1972, with Fleetwood Mac opening. Touting sway poles, trapeze artists, flying motorcycles, aerial acts and jugglers, the Faces were red hot thanks to Stewart's solo career and the band's 1971 album A Nod Is as Good as a Wink... to a Blind Horse (featuring the rollicking hit "Stay With Me" and future Rolling Stone Ron Wood on guitar). This colorful poster was printed on cardboard, measures 14 ¼" x 27" and grades to Very Good Plus condition.More Information: Fleetwood Mac was a few line-up changes and a couple of albums away from becoming the international superstars they would become later in the decade. Danny Kirwan and Bob Welch were in the band at the time, and their Bare Trees LP spent half of the year on Billboard magazine's U.S. albums chart.
Condition details: General toning throughout, and very lightly touched corners all the way around.
