R.E.M. 1984 Reckoning Charlottesville, VA Concert Poster. An original concert poster - featuring the cover artwork of the Athens, GA-based quartet's second album Reckoning - for the R.E.M.'s show on Thursday, October 11, 1984. With the power pop greatness of the dB's as the opener, this was their stop at the University Hall on the campus of University of Virginia. Playing a stopgap location between Washington D.C. and New Jersey, the band regularly played multiple encores a night, and various members regularly played with the dB's on this tour. Given the monumental praise for their debut Murmur, the Michael Stipe-fronted group was in great ascent and heading to worldwide acclaim. Measures 16" x 21 ½". In Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.More Information: Has several spots of creasing and edge wear, along with tape adhesive and blemishes on the verso.
