Ray Charles 1967 Seattle, WA Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "The World's Most Exciting Musical Personality," Ray Charles, appearing at the New Center Arena in Seattle, Washington on Saturday evening, October 28, 1967. An unusually configured tall, thin poster, this striking piece uses bold lettering and graphics to grab attention away from all the psychedelic concert posters that had been stealing the scene for over a year now. It was more than just Ray, it was "The All New Ray Charles Show!" the board boasts. At the time of this gig, Ray's brand new single was a cover of the Beatles' "Yesterday," which would be his last Top 10 R&B hit for 20 years.

Measures 14" x 26 3/4" and grades to Very Good condition. One tack hole and halo in each corner. All four corners dinged with attendant corner creases. The biggest is 2 ¼" and diagonal in the lower right corner, going through the black but not breaking color. A surface crease through "Center Arena" is fairly harmless and doesn't break color.
