Queen / REO Speedwagon 1975 Madison, Wisconsin Concert Poster. An original paper concert poster advertising Freddie Mercury and Queen opening up for REO Speedwagon at the Dane County Coliseum in Madison, Wisconsin on Thursday, March 6, 1975. Heavy-metal rock trio Mahogany Rush was third on the bill.

This poster represents two bands that had not hit their stride yet, that were just putting in the touring years and building a following one fan at a time. It would take REO five more years to find their groove and blow up with 1980's High Infidelity.

But Queen was right around the corner. Their first charting single, "Killer Queen," was s-l-o-w-l-y making its way up Billboard's Hot 100; it was in the 70's this week, and would eventually peak at #12. That's also the position their third album, Sheer Heart Attack, would reach in Billboard - #12. But this summer they would record "Bohemian Rhapsody," release it at Halloween, release A Night at the Opera right after Thanksgiving, and they were off and running.

A rare, small-town poster from just before Queen assumed headliner status; we've never seen one before, and you're not likely to see another soon.

Measures 11" x 17" and grades to Very Good condition. General surface handling and creasing throughout. There's about a six-inch crease starting in the upper right corner area and extending down to the right of R.E.O.'s picture. The strongest surface creasing is under "Rush" and to the right of "March 6." COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
