THIS BACON'S GETTING EXPENSIVE: $10,000 LAST AUCTION

Pink Floyd 1977 Oakland, CA Concert Poster Signed by Randy Tuten, Graded 9.8 (AOR-4.47). An original first-printing concert poster for Pink Floyd appearing at the Oakland Coliseum on Monday and Tuesday nights, May 9 & 10, 1977. This poster's image, created by Randy Tuten and William Bostedt, has gained iconic status over the years, easily one of the most popular BG posters of the 1970's. This specimen has been signed by Tuten and subsequently graded a sky-high 9.8 Near Mint/Mint by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). Last auction, in July, Heritage sold another specimen of this poster in the same grade, also signed, for a sausage-sizzling $10,000.

This was also known as Floyd's "In the Flesh" tour. Flying pigs became an indelible image for the band, and this poster depicts one beautifully, floating above the clouds & fog of San Francisco Bay. The year 1977 found Floyd on tour supporting Animals, which also depicted a flying pig in a sky of clouds (above a power station). That LP went on to sell 12 million units worldwide. Measures 19 1/2" x 28". From the David Swartz Concert Poster Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions.
