    Description

    Paul Revere & the Raiders 1968 Charleston, WV Dick Clark Concert Poster. An original vintage advertising window card for pop group Paul Revere & the Raiders appearing in Charleston, West Virginia on Friday, February 9, 1968. The poster is notable for singling out lead singer Mark Lindsay right below their name; for the involvement of Dick Clark's Caravan of Stars, a touring gold standard of the day; and for its Day-Glo chartreuse lettering, which would surely come alive under a purple light.

    Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. Poster has rounded corners with just a bit of dinging, and the lower right corner has a medium ding; very tiny white paper loss in the upper two corners (but not board); printer's flaws in the extreme upper left corner of the top black box; same with those three on the left margin 1/3 way down, and that line going down from the dot before "Sears" at the bottom; and a nick to the bottom margin under "Gorby's." The solid black areas are apparently sensitive to rubbing or contact because when the board is tilted in the light, you can see a lot of lines, brush marks, etc. But from every other angle you see nothing, it's just jet black.
