Patti Smith 1979 Philadelphia, PA Concert Poster. A window card for the punk poet and her incredibly strong backing group (including guitarist Lenny Kaye and drummer Jay Dee Daugherty) ahead of the release of the Wave album. Playing at the University of Pennsylvania in Philly, the poster shows how no-frills she was as a presence. She would take an extended hiatus from performing and recording after this cycle (Dream of Life came out in 1988). This is a document of her first run as a highly-influential artist that was more than a singer in front of a microphone. Measures 11" x 17". In Very Good condition with fold/creasing marks throughout, a 1 ¾" tear in the bottom left corner, pin holes in each corner, soiling in spots, fold marks, and tape residue on the verso. COA from Heritage Auctions.
