Nirvana Early Pre-Bleach 1988 Small Concert Poster.
A very early concert poster printed on pink paper for Nirvana in its earliest days, opening for fellow local grunge band Bundle of Hiss. The venue was the historic Vogue nightclub in Seattle, which hosted hundreds of rock shows over its two-decade lifespan.

This show was to have taken place about six months before Nirvana recorded their debut album for Sub Pop Records, Bleach. And the release date for that album? Exactly one year after this poster's date... June 15, 1989. But alas, Bundle of Hiss canceled at the last minute and the show was called off. Nirvana did play at the Vogue about two weeks in either direction, however... on May 29 and again on July 3.

If the Grateful Dead had their skull & roses poster, this could be called Nirvana's skull & thorns. Its artwork cleverly depicts a dozen skulls with various expressions on their faces, dropping down into an ever-thickening thicket of thorny stems. Measures 8.6" x 14", in Very Good condition.
