Description

Nirvana / D.O.A. / Coffin Break 1988 Seattle The Underground Concert Poster. A pristine example of when Nirvana was an up-and-coming support act, many believed would be headliners someday soon. Note how "Nirvana" is not in the font they were known for, and the print is smaller than the other bands on the bill, D.O.A. and Coffin Break. The Bodoni Extra Bold Condensed font would arrive a little while later. The band had not played the Underground before, and they rarely played it again before taking off in 1991.

Measures 11" x 17" and grades to Near Mint condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Playing the Underground on a Thursday night in Seattle, the band had picked up a new drummer earlier in the year named Chad Channing and had their Sub Pop debut single, "Love Buzz," out. From this stage on, this was when people believed the band was destined to be bigger than an underground band.

In Near Mint Minus condition with a light crease in the upper left corner, and tiny bumps to the two upper corners, as well as some oil smudges to the right of Nirvana's name.
