    Midnighters Palace Ballroom Concert Poster (1957). Very Rare. Window card printed on card stock for a show in Louisville, KY on Fri. Nov. 15. The poster features a wonderful design showing an image of the group with an illustration of a dark blue, nighttime sky in the background. The poster announces "Big In Person Rhythm Spectacular / Universal Attractions present / the / Midnighters / King Record / Stars". Three of the group's recent hits are also listed: "In The Doorway Crying" / "Come And Get It" / "Annie Had A Baby". The support act Cal Green is also pictured. Printed by "Murray Poster Printing Co...N.Y.C.". Measures 14" x 22". In Good condition with restoration to the bottom left edge and corner, lower right edge and top left corner, staple holes to corners, 1 1.5" tear to lower left edge, 0.5" tear to top edge, lower right corner rounded, water spot to image of the group, general toning and wear.

    The delightful artwork for this poster makes it one of the most desirable for the Midnighters. Lead vocalist, Hank Ballard, wrote "The Twist", which was covered most famously by Chubby Checker. As a pioneer of 1950s Rock 'n Roll, Ballard was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
