    Lloyd Price Palace Ballroom Concert Poster (1957) Extremely Rare. Window card printed on card stock for a show in Louisville, Kentucky on Wed. April 24th. The poster features two fantastic black and white photos and mentions two hit songs, one, his biggest hit from 1952 "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and two, his current release at the time "Just Because". Ticket prices are quoted as "Adv. 99c" and "At Door $1.50". Measures approximately 14" x 22.5". In Very Good condition with staple holes, several tears and nicks to edges, general toning.

    This is the only known example of this poster for the Palace Ballroom.

    Lloyd Price, aka "Mr Personality", had his biggest hit with "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" in 1952. It was no.1 on the R&B charts for seven weeks. Shortly after Price was drafted to serve in North Korea, so his singing career was put on hold until he returned in 1957. His comeback single was "Just Because", also mentioned on this poster. Price was inducted in to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
