Description

Little Willie John Auditorium Concert Poster (1960). Very Rare. Window card printed on card stock for a show in Klamath Falls, Oregon on Mon. April 4th. The poster shows photos of all three acts and lists some of their hit songs including Little Willie John: "Let Them Talk", "My Love Is", "Fever", "Talk To Me" and "I Need Your Love So Bad"; Marv Johnson: "You Got What It Takes", "I Love The Way You Love" and "Come To Me"; and "The Upsetters Formerly "Little Richard's Band", "Rollin' On" and "Blues". Printed by "Tilghman Press...Oak.". Measures 14" x 22". In Very Good Plus condition with staple holes to corners, minor creases and rubbing to corners, general toning.

This is one of only a few known examples of this poster. Incredibly, although Little Willie John was only 22 years old when this concert took place, he had already had eleven top twenty hits on the R&B charts. His biggest hit was "Fever", which reached number 1 on the R&B charts and number 24 on the Billboard chart.
