Description

Led Zeppelin 1973 Vienna, Austria Concert Poster. An original smaller-sized Austrian before-the-show concert poster advertising Led Zeppelin playing at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna on Friday night, March 16, 1973. This is the first time HA has ever offered this deep-blue poster, which was printed on thin white paper. "Stimmen Der Welt" across the top translates to "Voices of the World," "Wiener Stadthalle" meant "Vienna City Hall" and "19 UHR" meant 7:00 PM.

According to the book Led Zeppelin: The Concert File by Dave Lewis and Simon Pallett (Omnibus Press, 1997), "This is an outstanding night. Page is flying now, providing a spontaneous new opening arrangement on 'Stairway to Heaven,' never to be aired again, but thankfully captured on bootleg. And after 'Dazed and Confused,' Plant sings 'Happiness Is a Warm Gun' from the Beatles' White Album." Wow! Measures 11 3/4" x 16 78" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Poster has some surface creasing in the black "Stimmen" box at the top, but it doesn't break color. There's a very faint white line to the right of "Led" and a little stronger one under the "N" of "Zeppelin," very minor stuff. The verso has uneven toning which takes on a whole new look down at the bottom.
