Description

Led Zeppelin 1973 German Tour-Blank Concert Poster. An original paper concert poster for Led Zeppelin on tour in Germany in March 1973, without any specific concert date printed in yet. Features a highly compelling design of a 'bullet' or 'rocket' with a great band photo - notice Jimmy Page on acoustic guitar - and Robert Plant getting some extra love up in the red tip. Features logos for Bravo, a German teen magazine at the time, and Atlantic Records.

Zep played six dates in Germany in March '73, and for each stop, the exact date and all ticket info was printed into the white space in the lower right quadrant. This was part of a month-long European tour for the band, still cruising off their fourth album and the smashing success of "Stairway to Heaven," and getting ready to release their fifth long-player, Houses of the Holy.

Measures 23 1/2" x 33" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Many European concert posters were "knocked off," or reproduced, at a later date to be sold in stores and such. This is an absolute pre-tour first printing of this poster, obviously a leftover ‘blank' from when the band's short German tour was over.

Condition details: Poster was found in excellent condition other than damage to the four corners from the usual pin holes and tape residue, so Chameleon Restoration did their magic and there's now no trace of it. No other surface blemishes, creasing or folding to speak of.
