KISS, Blue Oyster Cult, Nazareth 1974 Jackson, TN Concert Poster. A time when Kiss was an opener for Blue Öyster Cult and Nazareth? Could only really happen in 1974, and this poster proves it did. Held on the West Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Jackson, TN, Blue Öyster Cult headlined with "special guest stars" Nazareth, Kiss and Larry Raspberry and the Highsteppers. BÖC was on tour promoting their third album, Secret Treaties, while Kiss only had their self-titled debut album out at the time (their second album, Hotter Than Hell, came out in the fall). Measures 11 ¾" x 21 ¼" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: As an event with "Dancing on the Grass" for this Sunday show, it kicked off in the early afternoon. Kiss developed into the eye-popping live act, and that took plenty of time and mileage. Taking Kabuki-style imagery with a pop-friendly style of rock, the theatrical nature of the band made them stand out from all of their contemporaries. But before they could be headliners, they had to put their time in as a support act.
