Description

Kiss, AC/DC 1977 Indianapolis, IN Concert Poster. Billed as "The Show of Shows!" at Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, this killer double bill of Kiss (on the heels of Love Gun and Alive II) and Bon Scott-fronted AC/DC (touring behind Let There Be Rock) jumps out to you. Playing on a Sunday in mid-December for less than $10 a head, this was Kiss at their biggest. You wanted the best, and you got the best. Playing to an estimated 18,000-plus on this night, Gene, Paul, Ace, and Peter were no longer a live favorite that were light on sales. Now they were a band that sold millions of records nationwide and thousands of concert tickets in every town.

As openers, AC/DC were no strangers to the public. As a band that stuck to its blues-inspired hard rock, they were proud to be in their lane. (They would stay that way for decades.)

This first-time Heritage offering measures 17 ¼" x 23" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: This would be the version of Kiss that fans consider the pinnacle, as the original line-up was intact and the shows were wild (and unlike anything else out there at the time). This was before inner drama split up the band. No talk of contracts or likeness rights. No disco-influenced single. It felt pure to the faithful in the Kiss Army at the time.

Condition details: Has staple holes, scuffing, creasing, tape lifts on the verso, and soiling on the verso.
