Jr. Walker & the All-Stars 1981 Washington D.C. Globe Concert Poster. A poster for two shows on the same night in 1981, done in the classic style of Globe Posters. With vibrant pink and yellow colors complementing the manila-colored background and black letters. Presented by Alan Lee. Printed on thick paper.

Held at Washington DC's Warner Theatre (which opened in 1924, first as a movie theater and later a music venue), Jr. Walker and the All-Stars headlined both the 8 pm and midnight shows. Support acts included the Chantels featuring Arlene Smith, the Teenagers "singing a tribute to Frankie Lymon," Willie Winfield and the Harptones, and "introducing" Sav'ior.

Born Autry DeWalt Mixon, Jr. Walker had a number of hit singles, but he (and his backing group) is best known for the 1969 single, "What Does It Take (To Win Your Love)." The saxophonist/vocalist would leave the earth in the mid-1990s. At the time of this show, he was between the albums Back Street Boogie and Blow the House Down.

Measures 22" x 35". In Very Good condition with various creasing in various spots (especially along the top portion). COA from Heritage Auctions.
