Johnny Cash, June Carter, Carl Perkins 1967 Waterloo, IA Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "The Fabulous Johnny Cash Show" playing at the McElroy Auditorium in Waterloo, Iowa on Friday night, April 21, 1967. Features a great full-body shot of the Man in Black with his guitar, and also nice inset photos of June Carter and Carl Perkins, big stars in their own right. At this very moment, Johnny & June were riding high with their sassy #2 country smash "Jackson." A year later, they'd be married. We've never sold this poster from '67 before, but back in April this same poster design from 1968 was sold by Heritage for $6,875. Measures 14" x 22" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. More Information: Poster has small, neat & clean staple holes in the upper left, top center, upper right, middle left & right, bottom left, bottom center and bottom right corner areas. Almost none of them touch the lettering or artwork (the "E" in "McElroy" is an exception). Very light blemish on the "L" in "McElroy" as well. Otherwise the poster is solid, sturdy and crisp, with general toning throughout. Small figure written in pencil on the back.
