Description

Johnny Cash, June Carter 1965 Minneapolis, MN Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "The Fabulous Johnny Cash Show" appearing in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday night, May 22, 1965. The performance featured the talents of legend Tex Ritter and Johnny's future wife June Carter, plus the Willis Bros. and the Statler Bros.

Great to get two pictures of the Man in Black on there, both with a guitar. At the time of this show, Johnny's last three hits had all been Top 5 C&W in Billboard: "The Ballad of Ira Hayes," "It Ain't Me, Babe" and "Orange Blossom Special." Measures a little under 14" x 22" and grades to restored Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: The board has been professionally repaired by a conservationist, especially in the top venue box area and bottom ticket box location, and up into "Luman," "Tenn." and "Statler." The resulting poster is strong and solid, with only slightly rounded corners and general overall toning. There is also black-marker writing on the verso.
