    Description

Jimmy Smith and His Organ Trio Seattle, WA Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising the "Incredible" Jimmy Smith and his Organ Trio performing at the Penthouse nightclub in Seattle, Washington for about 10 days in the winter. The exact year of this poster is not known. But when it was first posted, jazz great Stan Getz and his Quartet were already playing there, through January 21, and after Smith's run, the Charles Lloyd Quartet were coming in on February 6.

A typically thick cardboard poster made by the Washington Poster Co. Unusual olive green coloring, a nice photo of Smith, and a fun graphic of a 'cool cat' standing under a street sign with the club's address. Measures 15" x 22 ½" and grades to Very Good condition with pin holes in each corner, and creasing and toning in various spots. COA from Heritage Auctions.
