Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who 1970 Isle of Wight Festival Poster. An original first-printing concert poster from the famous 1970 British festival, with the music taking place Friday-Sunday, August 28-30. The talent level was as good as any back then, led by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, the Doors, the Who, Jethro Tull, the Moody Blues and a strong singer-songwriter contingent of James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Donovan, Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez and John Sebastian. This first printing doesn't have the names Miles Davis or Tiny Tim, which the much more common second printing has. Measures 20" x 30" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. More Information: The designer of this distinctive poster was Dave Roe, who used pastel pink, blue and yellow very effectively.

Condition details: The upper left corner has a very mild ¾" diagonal corner crease that doesn't come near the blue square. The upper right corner has a smaller one, just ¼", that doesn't come near anything. General light toning throughout.
