Description

Jimi Hendrix Experience 1968 Worcester, MA Complete Concert Ticket. An original, untorn concert ticket for the Jimi Hendrix Experience playing at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday evening, March 15, 1968. This ducat is for the late 10:30 PM show; there was also an early 8:15 show. Opening acts were the Soft Machine and The Mark Boyle Sense Laboratory. This ticket came directly from the show's promoter. Last time we sold one of these, last September, it went for $1,875. Measures approximately 4" x 2 1/4" and grades to Very Good Plus condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: According to the book The Jimi Hendrix Concert Files (Tony Brown, Omibus Press), this was the first time Jimi played his unique version of "The Star-Spangled Banner" in public. The group also played "Are You Experienced," "Fire," "Hey Joe," "Foxy Lady," "Purple Haze" and "Wild Thing."

Condition details: Ticket has general overall toning and a light smudge above "University." It should also be noted that the "615" written in blue fountain pen was part of the original promoter's ticket tracking system, so not considered damage.
