Jimi Hendrix Experience 1968 Tempe, Arizona Concert Handbill.
An original concert-advertising flyer for Jimi Hendrix and the Soft Machine performing at Arizona State University in early 1968. Tremendous reverse-imagery graphics gives this handbill its appeal, with plenty of white space in the guitarist's afro for his name to be shouted - with an exclamation point.

The problem was, the handbill/poster designer was off by a whole month when giving the date. He put "March 5th," when in fact the show was scheduled for February 5th. Oops! Some replacements were re-run, but the damage was done, and we can only hope they had some consolation set up for those few poor souls who showed up a month after Jimi left town.

But 50 years later, we don't care what month it was; we just know that it's an outstanding-looking concert piece. Sun Devils Gym, ASU in Tempe, presented by Sigma Chi Fraternity. Lots of ticket outlets at the bottom. Measures 4.75" x 7", and graded Very Good with a bit of overall toning, a small crease in the center and a small tear on the middle right side. There are also remnants on the verso of having once been mounted. COA from Heritage Auctions.
