Jimi Hendrix 1967 Promo Standee for Debut LP Are You Experienced?
A stiff cardboard point-of-purchase countertop display for the Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut album, dating to the spring of 1967. The graphics simply replicate the album's famous cover, on board much thicker than an LP jacket. The back has an easel which could be popped open to prop up the piece.

Few albums changed the course of rock history like Hendrix's debut offering. The source of such classic songs as "Foxey Lady," "Purple Haze" and "Hey Joe," it got onto Billboard's album chart in the summer of love and didn't leave for two years, while Jimi's second album came & went during that time. It basically stayed on the charts until the original Experience disbanded with the departure of bassist Noel Redding.

Measures 11.8" x 11.8" and grades to Very Good Plus with a little wear & tear around the corners and top & bottom edges, one nearly invisible surface crease and a completely never-opened easel on the back. It is not trimmed in any way; the bottom front is totally in line with the easel bottom on the back. This is exactly the way Warner Bros./Reprise Records made it. COA from Heritage Auctions.

The movie quite literally changed my life. I have included a pic of me in Sly's Rocky 3 Cashmere overcoat, would much appreciate if it is possible for you to forward this email to Sly to let him know the overcoat is in good hands, and will be well taken care of, (as will be the Rambo knife forging tools, the other lot I won!) Wish you very happy holidays and a great 2016!
