Jefferson Airplane, Taj Mahal 1968 Salt Lake City, UT Concert Poster. An original B&W paper advertising poster for San Francisco's finest, the Jefferson Airplane, playing up in Salt Lake on Saturday night, February 10, 1968. A terrific layout based entirely on the photo from their Surrealistic Pillow album cover. "Last concert prior to European tour," the poster states. "A White Rabbit Production." Opening musicians were electric blues-guitar vocalist Taj Mahal and local Salt Lake City group War of Armageddon.

The Airplane were touring off their latest disc, After Bathing at Baxter's, on RCA Records. Mr. Mahal was out supporting his self-titled debut Columbia Records LP, which included one original and covers of Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, Sonny Boy Williamson and three Sleepy John Estes tunes. Song titles included "Statesboro Blues" and "Dust My Broom."

Measures 30" x 23" and grades to Near Mint condition with only very light toning. COA from Heritage Auctions.
