Jackie Wilson "Soulville '67" Seattle, WA Jumbo Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "Mr. Excitement," R&B legend Jackie Wilson, plus support acts in concert at the famed Eagles Ballroom in Seattle, WA on Saturday night, March 11, 1967. The big "Soulville '67" event also included hit-makers the Olympics, whose biggest record was "Western Movies" 10 years earlier. (Great to see Wilson's "Lonely Teardrops" on there, under "Jackie.") Nice coloring of pinkish-orange accentuate all the black print and photos. Measures 21" x 27 3/8" and grades to Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.

More Information: Poster has a good bit of little damage around some edges, but at least it's just around the edges. Multiple tack holes and creasing in all four corners. Tape lifts took away the top layer of paper on both the left and right edges, in different places; same thing under "Terry" (which could be bug chews, actually). Notice additional small-nail damage to the right edge down at the bottom, and both bottom corners have one-inch creases. "1967" written in pen at the top above "11," and again in bigger numbers on the verso, although very lightly. Also one instance of tape residue on the verso.
