Jackie Wilson 1958 "Nation's Newest Singing Sensation" Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising Brunswick Records' Jackie Wilson at the outset of his career, when the Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer had charted only two singles so far, "Reet Petite" and "To Be Loved," the latter a Top 10 R&B hit. The venue was the Club Baron in Nashville, TN, and the date was Saturday night, July 5, 1958. Later this year, Wilson would release his biggest hit ever, "Lonely Teardrops," which would go #1 R&B for two months and establish him as a top-fight national talent.

Arnett Cobb, known earlier in his career as "The Wild Man of the Tenor Sax," led Wilson's back-up musicians.

This red & yellow concert poster was made by the Hatch Show Print company out of Nashville. It was once quarter-folded down to fit into Hatch's filing cabinets. Although the crease through "Jackie" is pretty apparent, fortunately very little color is broken along either of the two folds (most noticeably in the second "T" in "Arnett"). Measures 13 ¾" x 21 ¾" and grades to Very Good condition with vertical and those horizontal folding/creasing marks. COA from Heritage Auctions.
