Description

INXS/Urge Overkill Hordern Pavilion Multi-Concert Poster (1994). A 16 ¾" x 23 ½" poster for INXS's two-night stand at the Hordern Pavilion in Moore Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Printed on thin-like, but sturdy paper, this was for the Australian sextet's "Dirty Honeymoon" tour, which was in promotion of the 1993 album, Full Moon, Dirty Hearts.

INXS had enjoyed incredible worldwide success on their run of albums from Listen Like Thieves to Full Moon, Dirty Hearts. Their videos were staples on MTV, and they could easily sell out arenas all over the world. But by the mid-1990s, the band's luster started to wane in the mainstream. And their time together would end in tragedy with the death of frontman Michael Hutchence in 1997.

For these shows at the Hordern Pavilion (which is a part of the Sydney Showground, built in the 1920s), Chicago band Urge Overkill opened. Urge Overkill had a minor radio/MTV hit with "Sister Havana," but they are best known for their cover of Neil Diamond's "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" on the Pulp Fiction soundtrack. Also of note about these shows is that Hutchence performed seated with a bandaged-up ankle.

In Very Good Plus condition with various small creasing spots along the top portion. COA from Heritage Auctions.
