Description
Ike & Tina Turner 1964 Vancouver, B.C., Canada Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "The Human 'Bomb Shell,'" the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, playing at the Exhibition Gardens venue in Vancouver, British Columbia on Saturday night, November 28, 1964. All the musicians you see on the poster were part of the revue, they're not support acts.Interesting how, besides being depicted as a couple in the middle, Tina Turner is pictured again, solo, off to the right; whereas Ike is shown nowhere individually, which some would interpret as Ike making sure Tina knew she was in a subservient role.
This poster was printed by the Tilghman Poster Press out of Oakland, CA, measures an oversized 16" x 24" and grades to repaired Very Good condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
More Information: Has expected toning throughout and numerous spots of creasing.
