Description

Grateful Dead/Quicksilver Messenger Service Panther Hall Concert Poster (Middle Earth Productions, 1970). On February 20, 1970, in the famous Panther Hall of Fort Worth, Texas, a monumental musical event took place: the iconic Rock troupe the Grateful Dead played a packed-out show with cohorts the Quicksilver Messenger Service. A then-unknown ZZ Top opened the show, kicking off what must have been a night that went down in history! The show was booked by local promoters Middle Earth Productions, with lights by Family Circle. This tri-color poster, featuring a heavily-symbolic war-and-peace motif was printed by FunKit, and revealed a hidden 3D design under a blacklight. Rare. Measures approximately 22" x 28", in Very Good Plus condition with rounded corners, light creasing in the upper-left, and a .5" tear at the left-center margin.
