Grateful Dead 1988 Spring Tour Poster Autographed by the Band and Peter Max. A large, colorful Grateful Dead tour poster that's been beautifully signed along the bottom by the individual Dead members, including Jerry Garcia, as well as poster artist himself, Peter Max. The poster was already a startling combination of two towering pop-culture forces, the Grateful Dead - touring off the biggest album of their career, In the Dark - and superstar surrealist Peter Max. But then to have everyone sign it is just a grand-slam home run.Max signed right above his printed name in the lower right part of the artwork. The six Dead members across the red are, from L to R, Bobby Weir, Brent Mydland, Phil Lesh, Jerry Garcia, Billy Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart.
And in the accompanying photo, which Jerry sat out, you have, left to right, Peter Max, Bob Weir, Brent Mydland, Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzmann. This photo is digital, so nothing tangible to include in the lot.
This is the kind of trophy piece that would light up any room and stand as a pop-culture monument. It just begs to be framed and displayed on any wall as a conversation piece for any music lover and, needless to say, Deadhead.
